Siler City, NC - Chatham County water customers can pay their water bills at any Walmart location for a small service fee, according to Michelle Ballard, customer service manager for Chatham County Utilities.
“This is a new service offered in partnership with Walmart to give customers more options for paying their monthly water bills,” said Ballard.
Water customers should go to the Walmart MoneyCenter or Customer Service Desk in any Walmart location. Customers who want to pay their water bills should bring the following items:
• Either cash, a Walmart Money Card or a debit card that requires a PIN number to make their payment
• Their current billing statement with the account number on it
Walmart will charge an 88-cent fee for delivery of the payment within three business days. For $1.88, the payment is delivered to Chatham Utilities the next business day. However, payments must be processed by 7pm EST to meet these delivery timeframes.
Customers also should keep in mind that bank holidays are excluded in meeting the definition of business days, so add an extra day whenever a bank holiday occurs.
