Hillsborough, NC - The Northwood High School JV girls rallied from a 10 point deficit, even trailing 39-34 heading into the fourth quarter, to defeat the Orange High School Panthers 51-46. Keri Snipes was one of three Lady Charger JV players to score in double figures with 19 points.

Maggie Denny added 13 points, while Myiesha Alston scored 10 points. Pressure defense by the JV Lady Chargers caused Orange to turn the ball over repeatedly in the fourth quarter which led to the eventual victory for the Lady Charger JVs.

The JV Lady Chargers finished in second place in the conference.

In the JV boys game, the Charger JVs rallied from a 24 point deficit with less than 6 minutes remaining to defeat Orange 78-77. Defensive pressure on the ball throughout the final six minutes and offensive rebounds got the JV boys back in the game and allowed for the winning shot made by Jason Patterson with 4 seconds left in the game.

Dylan Davis led the JV Chargers with 35 points, the second time Dylan has scored 35 points in a game in the last two weeks. Jamal Baines followed up his impressive performance versus Carrboro Friday with 12 points. Jacobi Harris also scored in double figures with 10 points. Antonio Walker came off the bench in the fourth quarter to contribute with offensive and defensive rebounding and caused 2 turnovers. Walker finished with 6 points.

The JV boys finished 8-5 in conference play on the season, with a dramatic non-conference win over the Jordan-Matthews Jets this season.
