Pittsboro, NC - The Salvation Army of Chatham County would like to thank everyone for their support during our Christmas Cheer 2010 program. In this time of economic uncertainty, it is truly a blessing to see the support from our communities in Chatham.

Because of this support, the Salvation Army was able to assist 558 families, providing assistance to over 1600 individuals, including children and senior citizens.

Many individuals were also warmer this year due to our winter coat drives. Many did not go hungry this year due to our food drives. Thank you to Chatham County Schools, community banks and businesses, and individuals who helped make this season brighter for Chatham. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated in the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.

What a blessing to see everyone, including families, participate in this fun and rewarding program! Thank you to all other volunteers. We could not have done it without each of you.

Blessings to all in 2011 from your Salvation Army.

Jane J. Wrenn is the Services Director of the Salvation Army of Chatham County.
