Pittsboro, NC - The Friends of the Pittsboro Memorial Library remind everyone of upcoming events planned for February

Donations for Spring Book Sale (March 29-31) being taken NOW at Pittsboro Library. For help with large donations, call Richard Bird at 545-9413 and he will make arrangements to pick them up.

Burrito Bash: Monday, February 5, 6:00-9:00 PM, at the Pittsboro General Store Cafe. $15, door prizes, entertainment provided by the Tommy Edwards and Friends Band. Bring books to donate to the Spring Book Sale (March 29-31).

Book Club: "Five Quarters of the Orange" by Joanne Harris, Monday, February 5, 7:30 PM, in the Reeves Gallery at the library.

Gallery Exhibit: "Views of Chatham," a photography exhibit by the Chatham Camera Club, through February in the Reeves Gallery at the library.

Author Talk: Paul Cuadros, soccer coach at Jordan Matthews (Siler City) and author of "A Home on the Field: How One Championship Team Inspires Hope for the Revival of Small Town America," Thursday, February 22, 7:30 PM, at the Council on Aging (Senior Center), Hwy. 87N, Pittsboro.

2007 Community Read: "Because of Winn-Dixie," by Kate Dicamillo. Programs will be funded in part by a Grassroots Art Grant from the Chatham County Arts Council, a partner of the North Carolina Arts Council.
