ChathamArts offers grassroots arts funding

Pittsboro, NC - ChathamArts, the countywide arts council, is offering funding for community-based arts projects taking place in Chatham through its Grassroots Arts Program. Funds are available to support arts projects that present visual and performing arts, craft and folk arts, writing and literature, media arts and multidisciplinary projects such as events and arts in education programs.

The deadline for grant proposals to be received in the ChathamArts office is Friday Nov. 3, 2006.

Eligible applicants include: non-profit arts organizations, educational institutions, libraries, historical societies, civic groups, social service agencies, chambers of commerce, recreation departments, churches, healthcare institutions and downtown development associations.
