First preseason game, autograph session highlight annual event at the RBC Center
Beginning at 10 a.m. and while supplies last, fans can receive complimentary tickets to the Hurricanes' first preseason game against the Washington Capitals which will follow the Carnival at 3 p.m. Along with the tickets, 2,000 wristbands will be distributed for the autograph session which will take place from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Fans may arrive as early as 8 a.m. to line up for tickets and autograph wristbands. Doors will open for the game at 2 p.m.
Fans will have their first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets for Carolina's home games in October and November beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the RBC Center box office. At the Hurricanes' official team store, The Eye, fans will have their first chance to purchase the Hurricanes' new official jersey, created with the Rbk Edge Uniform System. The band Groovetown, a stunt show by the BMX Stunt Team, a remote control car racetrack, a toddler zone designed for children between the ages of two and six, a synthetic ice skating rink, street hockey and more than a dozen carnival-style rides also highlight the season kickoff event.
