Pittsboro, NC - The Northwood JV boys basketball team put together its best effort of the season with a resounding 70-44 triumph over Cedar Ridge Friday, January 8 at Northwood. Mark Goods poured in 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Antonio Walker scored 18 points and grabbed six boards, and Jamal Baines chipped in eight points and a game high 18 rebounds as the JV Chargers dominated inside en route to a lopsided victory over the JV Red Wolves.

Jacobi Harris continued his role as floor general from his point guard position leading the team with three assists and adding seven points on the night. Charles Hope came off the bench to score in double figures as he finished with 10 points. Monte Smith also had a nice all-around game with six points, a team high three steals, two rebounds, and two assists.

The JV Chargers led 34-23 at the half but that lead grew to 26 points after three quarters as the JV Chargers outscored the Red Wolves 25-10 in the third quarter. Caleb Morris, Chris Smith, and Ahmad Walker also scored on the night for the JV Chargers.

A reminder that a benefit supper will be held Monday, January 18 at Northwood High School for JV Head Coach Darrell Bean from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
