Pittsboro, NC - The Northwood Chargers JV Boys Basketball team won the Carolina 9 Conference this past basketball season with an overall record of 12-2. The JV Chargers are led by Coach Darrell Bean, along with the help of his wife Deana Bean, who keeps the books for the team.

The accomplishments of Coach Bean and the JV Chargers bring an end to a difficult season that began with their head coach severely injuring his back after falling from a ladder in the fall.

The JV Chargers were led by sophomore forwards Antonio Walker and Jamal Baines, who often posted double-doubles throughout the season. Sophomore point guard Jacobi Harris and sophomore small forward Mark Goods provided constant leadership to the team's success throughout the season as well. Freshmen Aumad Walker, Monte Smith, and Chris Smith all made significant contributions to the team's success this season as well.
