Northwood varsity girls basketball team falls to River Mill, 58-46

Pittsboro, NC - The Northwood varsity girls basketball team fell to Carolina 9 Conference favorite River Mill Friday January 22, 58-46 at Northwood High School. Senior point guard Casey Norris led the Lady Chargers with a strong, all-around game with 12 points, 5 rebounds, a team high four assists, and a team high four steals. Olivia Oakley added eight points, including 4 of 4 from the foul line, a team high eight rebounds, and a team high three blocked shots. Shelby Wolfe chipped in six points and six boards to go along with three steals. Kerri Snipes also scored six points for the Lady Chargers.

LeNaira Ruffin led a balanced scoring attack for River Mill with 16 points, while McKenzie Owen scored 12 points for the Lady Jaguars.
