Northwood varsity boys and girls defeat North Carolina School of Science and Math in basketball

Pittsboro, NC - The Northwood varsity boys basketball team defeated NCSSM 70-47 Wednesday, January 26. John Wieland led the Chargers with 17 points, while Tra Chandler added 16 points which included two three-pointers. A.J. Farmer dominated once again in the paint with 14 points.

Dylan Davis added 8 points for the Chargers while Ryan Seymour, Brandon Green, Trevor Ahkuoi, Harold Baldwin, and Joe Graybeal also scored in the game for the Chargers.

Northwood Varsity Girls

The Northwood varsity girls basketball team defeated NCSSM 45-33 Wednesday, January 26, 2010 in Carolina 9 Conference action. Senior point guard Casey Norris and junior center Olivia Oakley each scored 14 points for the Lady Chargers. Shelby Wolfe and Kerri Snipes added 6 points a piece for the Lady Chargers. Annie Cleaver, Brennan Allen, and Yancy Luft also scored for the Lady Chargers in the victory.
