Northwood cross country wins Tri-Meet

Pittsboro, NC - The Northwood men's cross country team won its Tri-Meet with Cedar Ridge, Raleigh Charter, and Emerson Waldorf high schools on Tuesday afternoon here at Northwood High School. Eric Williams, Richard Torbert, and Kurt Clark finished first, second, and third respectively in the meet.

Tyler Klund, Forrest Glosson, and Sam Williams finished 14th, 15th, and 16th respectively in the 58 runner field. Reid Bryan, Justin Dolly, Luke Henry, Daniel Foushee, Russell Smith, Chris Runyan, and Colin Jacobs all finished in the top half of the field.

The Northwood girls' cross country team was also victorious in the meet. Julia Sloane was the winner of the race while Kerri Snipes and Maria Vanderford finished fourth and fifth respectively. Yancey Luft, Kaitlyn Mattiace, Brittany Porterfield, and Allison Gould all finished in the top ten for the Lady Chargers. Crystal Overcash, Chelsea Williams, Laura Kreigh, Allie Gray, and Cameron Russell all finished in the top half of the race.
