Raleigh, NC - There’s good news in the air this week for NC State fans that enjoy listening to the Wolfpack Sports Network while attending home games in Carter-Finley Stadium. Beginning with this weekend’s game against Wofford, NC State’s flagship radio station WRAL, Mix 101.5 FM will be heard live in Carter-Finley Stadium, in real time without any delay.
WRAL-FM typically delays its broadcast signal by eight seconds to align with the transmission of its HD signal. That delay made it challenging for fans listening to the game from their seats in the stadium to follow along with the action on the field at the season-opening game against Central Florida. For all future NC State home games, WRAL-FM will transmit its traditional 100,000-watt broadcast signal in real time so fans attending the games can tune in and enjoy every exciting minute of the play by play action from their seats. This change will not impact the HD transmission.
Wolfpack fans are encouraged to bring portable radios into the stadium and tune to WRAL, Mix 101.5 to hear the “Voice of the Wolfpack”, Gary Hahn and his broadcast partners Johnny Evans and Tony Haynes as they cover every exciting minute of the action on the field.
The Wolfpack Sports Network airtime for the Wofford game is 5:00pm. Kickoff is at 6:00pm. After the game, be sure to join the Wolfpack Sports Network and Mix 101.5 on your drive home for the Dodge Post Game Wrap Up. You’ll hear comments from both coaches and locker rooms, plus all the final stats and insights from the game.
