The NC State football squad, which completed the 2003 campaign with a win in the Mazda Tangerine Bowl, will play three home games next season against teams that finished in the top 10 of the coaches poll in 2003. The Wolfpack will play six games in Carter-Finley Stadium and will face East Carolina at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Thanksgiving weekend.

More than 36,500 season tickets were sold for Wolfpack football in 2003, with demand being so high that temporary seating was added to the existing facility. "With the success our football program has enjoyed and the caliber of our opponents, we expect our ticket demand to be even higher this season," said Director of Athletics Lee Fowler. "Wolfpack fans are known for being among the most loyal in the country and the atmosphere at Carter-Finley Stadium on game day has been a huge factor in our success."

The Wolfpack will open the season on Labor Day weekend against the Division I-AA Richmond Spiders, and then will enjoy an open date before hosting Ohio State, which finished last season ranked fourth nationally, on September 18. Miami, the fifth-ranked team in the nation at the conclusion of 2003, will make its first appearance in Raleigh as a member of the ACC on October 23. The Pack will play host to Florida State on Thursday, November 11, in a nationally-televised ESPN game and then will be open again on November 20 before facing the Pirates in Charlotte.

Ticket applications will be mailed to all Wolfpack Club members by April 1, with an ordering deadline of April 15.
