Greensboro, NC - NC State quarterback Russell Wilson, who was third in the voting for preseason ACC Player of the Year, and defensive end Willie Young were both voted onto the preseason all-conference team by the media attending the league 's annual kickoff event earlier this week.
Wilson, who is entering his redshirt sophomore season, threw 249 consecutive passes without an interception over his final nine games as a redshirt freshman a year ago and became the first freshman in league history to earn first-team All-ACC honors as a quarterback.
Young, an honorable mention All-ACC performer a year ago, has already graduated from NC State and is the most experienced player returning for 2009. He led the team in tackles for loss (12.5) and sacks (6.5) in 2008.
