Wake Forest's spring football game set for Saturday

Come to Wake Forest Campus for the Spring Game and baseball versus Clemson.

Winston-Salem, N.C. — A full Saturday of Deacon sports is planned for Saturday, April 14 including the annual Spring Football Game and the baseball team's contest against Clemson at Hooks Stadium.

Admission to the Spring Game is free. In addition to the scrimmage, there will be a full array of interactive activities designed to give Wake Forest fans an up-close look at the Demon Deacon football program. Fans will be able to hear the team, hear the coaches and get a true feeling of the game with this unique experience that fans can't get anywhere else. It will be a whole afternoon of kid-friendly fun with inflatable games, food, games and meeting with friends.

At 11:00 a.m., a tour of Wake Forest's academic services will be held at the Miller Center. Simultaneously, a strength and conditioning exhibition will be led by Ethan Reeve, Wake Forest football's strength and conditioning coach. At 11:30 a.m., the football team will warm-up and hold agility drills. The controlled scrimmage will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Limited seating is available on temporary bleachers and there will be space available for chairs and blankets. Please note that seating space is limited.

The Wake Forest ticket office will be on-hand to sell 2007 season tickets. Also, the commemorative book, "Time To Dream" and DVD, "The Time Is Now" will be on sale. Only cash or checks will be accepted. To order using a credit card, please call the ticket office at 336-758-3322.

Parking will be available throughout the Wake Forest campus in the surrounding lots F, G, H, J, W, U, and V. Signs will be posted to help direct fans to appropriate parking areas. Overflow parking will be directed to lots Q, P, S, T, and also to Davis Field. Note that Davis Field is only available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Following the Spring Game, Deacon fans should head to Hooks Stadium and catch the Diamond Deacs take on 16th-ranked Clemson at 2:00 p.m. Wake Forest is returning home after sweeping Maryland last weekend. Tickets can be purchased for $6 at the gate or to by contacting the ticket office at (336)758-3322

Directions to the Wake Forest Football 2006 Spring Football Scrimmage

From Lawrence Joel Coliseum take University Pkwy about 1 mile and make a left into Wake Forest University. Once on campus make a left at the stoplight. Go past the football practice fields on the left and parking will be available in the lots behind the practice fields. Signs will also be posted around campus to provide additional assistance.
