Arrive extra early and stay late for Clemson game
Winston-Salem, NC - The upcoming Clemson football game is expecting a large crowd. In addition, the Dixie Classic Fair opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1. Because of the Joel Coliseum's close proximity to the fairgrounds, Dixie Classic patrons will be parking at the LJVM and surrounding areas.
Wake Forest officials estimate that ALL General Public, bus, and RV parking will be full before 1:00 p.m., more than 2 1/2 hours before game time.
When all lots fill, the next available parking area is the Wake Forest campus, a short walk from Groves Stadium. Other suggested areas for meeting and carpooling include downtown and the Benton Convention Center parking areas.
Traffic congestion will also be heavy. Fans are advised to arrive early and plan on staying late to make your traffic conditions as light as possible. Your patience is appreciated on such a busy day.
All students and fans are encouraged to carpool as much as possible.
