NC State releases 2005 football schedule

Wolfpack opens the 2005 campaign against defending ACC champion Virginia Tech.

NC State's 2005 football schedule includes six home games at Carter-Finley Stadium and a pair of Thursday night league contests that will be held back-to-back. Next fall's slate begins with a bang when defending ACC champ Virginia Tech comes to Raleigh on Saturday September 3. The Wolfpack was the only conference team to defeat the Hokies last season.

NC State's non-conference slate features home games against Eastern Kentucky (9/17) and Southern Mississippi (10/29). The Pack will also travel to Philadelphia for a September 10th meeting with Temple. On Thursday October 6, NC State will be in Atlanta for a nationally televised (ESPN) battle with Georgia Tech. The very next Thursday, the Wolfpack will be back on ESPN, this time at home versus Clemson.
