Meet the Blue Devils on Saturday

Durham, NC - The Duke football program will hold its annual "Meet The Blue Devils" day on Saturday, August 25 beginning at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Recreation Center located behind the East Gate of Wallace Wade Stadium. Bob Harris, the veteran Voice of the Blue Devils, will host the event which is open to the public and free of charge.

All fans will receive a complimentary 2007 Duke football poster and can obtain autographs and photographs with members of the team. A free raffle drawing will be held for prizes.

In addition, the Duke athletic ticket office will be on site to accept orders for the upcoming campaign.

Sponsors of the event include Alltel Wireless, Blue Devil Weekly, Crocs, Delta Air Lines, Durham Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Gatorade, The Herald-Sun, Lineberry and Company, Northgate Mall, Qualex and Time Warner Cable.

The Blue Devils conducted the first two-a-day session of the 2007 preseason on Monday with a pair of two-hour workouts. The team practiced for two hours in the morning in helmets and shoulder pads and will be back on the field for another practice this afternoon. The team is on its eighth day of practice and has just under three weeks before the season opener.
