Chapel Hill, NC - The 2005 University of North Carolina football team will host "Meet the Heels" on Saturday, August 13 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. at Kenan Stadium. Head coach John Bunting and the entire Tar Heel squad will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
This year's event will include a Carolina Kids Zone area located in the east end zone with inflatable games, face painting and other activities. "Meet the Heels" also will feature a live performance by The Terry Wiley Band.
Gate 6 on the press box side (UNC bench/South side) will open at 12:30 p.m. for fans to enter the stadium. Carolina football trading cards, posters and schedule cards will be available for fans as they enter the stadium.
Woody Durham, now in his 35th year as the "Voice of the Tar Heels" will introduce the team beginning at 1:30 p.m. followed by pictures and autographs with the 2005 Tar Heels on the field.
Concession stands and restroom facilities will be open on the South side concourse. Parking is available in Craig Deck, Smith Center lots and the Bell Tower Lot (off Raleigh Road).
In case of rain, "Meet the Heels" will take place on the 3rd floor concourse in the west end zone.
