ACC has eight bowl tie-ins for the 2005 season[Nov. 30, 2005] The ACC has eight teams that are eligible for bowls following the 2005 season: Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The only local ACC team to be bowl eligible is NC State. Carolina, Duke and Wake Forest will be staying hope this bowl season.
Awards handed out at WFU football banquet[Nov. 20, 2005] The Wake Forest football program saluted its senior class and honored several student-athletes with individual awards at its postseason banquet on Sunday night at Bridger Field House.
Miami tops Wake Forest 47-17[Nov. 12, 2005] Cory Randolph went 8-for-16 today, to end his senior season with 85 completions and 131 attempts, for a 64.9 completion percentage. That breaks the Wake Forest single season completion record that has been in place since 1985. Foy White went 132 for 210 (62.9 percent).
ACC Football This Week - Week 8 10/20/05[Oct. 20, 2005] North Carolina welcomes 23rd-ranked Virginia to Kenan Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the JP/Raycom ACC Game of the Week. 11th-ranked Florida State makes the trek to Durham, N.C. to face Duke in a game televised on ESPNU at 3:30 pm. Wake Forest welcomes NC State to Groves Stadium in the 99th meeting between both teams - the third most played series in the ACC.

Wake Forest-Miami football game rescheduled for Nov. 12[Oct. 19, 2005] Wake Forest’s football game against Miami at Groves Stadium has been rescheduled due to the postponement of this Saturday’s Georgia Tech at Miami game, created by the projected path of Hurricane Wilma, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today.

Wake Forest travels to Boston College for a 12 noon kickoff. Georgia Tech visits Duke on Saturday afternoon in a game shown on ESPNU at 3:30 pm

ACC Football This Week - 10/06/05[Oct. 5, 2005] NC State travels to Georgia Tech Thursday evening in a game shown nationally on ESPN at 7:30 pm. Florida State welcomes Wake Forest to Doak Campbell Stadium Saturday afternoon. Duke makes its second trip to the Orange Bowl to face-off against Miami in a 3:30 pm kickoff. North Carolina faces Louisville in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

Blue Devils travel to face Miami[Oct. 3, 2005] Duke plays the first of six consecutive league games to conclude the regular season this week by traveling to face ninth-ranked Miami in the Orange Bowl. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m., and the contest will be televised by ESPNU.
Duke falls to Navy 28-21[Oct. 2, 2005] Lamar Owens ran for 106 yards and threw for 87 as Navy defeated Duke 28-21 on Saturday afternoon at Wallace Wade Stadium. Duke falls to 1-4 on the season while Navy improves to 1-2 after a three week layoff.
ACC Football This Week - 10/01/05[Sep. 30, 2005] Navy travels to Wallace Wade Stadium to face Duke for the first time since 1997 when the Blue Devils posted a 26-17 victory over the Midshipmen. North Carolina and Utah will square-off for the second-straight year, and for the first-time in Kenan Stadium, on Saturday afternoon. Wake Forest welcomes Clemson to Groves Stadium for a 3:30 pm kickoff.
