Wake Forest begins preseason with a two-hour practice session Friday night beginning at 7:45 p.m. on the campus practice fields next to the Pruitt Football Wing. All preseason practices are open to the public and the media.

[Aug. 3, 2006] Wake Forest athletic department officials announced a plan to enhance Groves Stadium on Wednesday. The third phase of Wake Forest University Football Project is scheduled to hit full stride following the 2006 season with the demolition of the existing press box and construction of the new Deacon Tower. The estimated completion date of phase three is June 2008.

[Apr. 18, 2006] Wake Forest will install FieldTurf at Groves Stadium in time for the 2006 season. The new FieldTurf will replace the natural grass that is currently in place at Groves. Wake Forest will become the second Atlantic Coast Conference school to play its home football games on FieldTurf, joining Boston College. Wake Forest's first game on the new surface will be September 2 against Syracuse, the team's season opener.
