Duke holds Meet the Blue Devils Day
[Aug. 26, 2007] The Duke University football team held its annual "Meet the Blue Devils Day" on Saturday in the Wilson Recreation Center behind the East gate of Wallace Wade Stadium. Each Blue Devil fan received a free Duke football poster and schedule magnet at the door.

Meet the Blue Devils on Saturday
[Aug. 24, 2007] The Duke football program will hold its annual "Meet The Blue Devils" day on Saturday, August 25 beginning at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Recreation Center located behind the East Gate of Wallace Wade Stadium. Bob Harris, the veteran Voice of the Blue Devils, will host the event which is open to the public and free of charge.

Duke Blue Devils begin football preseason with first practice
[Aug. 7, 2007] The Duke football team returned to the field on Monday in the team’s first practice of the 2007 season, but no Blue Devil was happier to don his pads than senior running back Justin Boyle. Boyle returns to the field after his junior campaign in 2006 was cut short by a knee injury suffered during Duke's November 11 contest at Boston College. By Chris Cook

NCSU Wolfpack sells out season football tickets for 7th straight year
[Aug. 7, 2007] For the seventh consecutive season, NC State has sold out its season football tickets. A record number 38,200 season tickets have been sold for the 2007 campaign, up 200 from 2006.

NC State football team elects captains
[Aug. 7, 2007] The NC State football team elected captains for the upcoming season in its first team meeting. In a players’ vote, seniors John Dunlap, Marcus Stone and Martrel Brown were chosen to represent their teammates for the 2007 campaign.

Duke suspends Michael Tauiliili from football program
[Aug. 6, 2007] Duke head football coach Ted Roof announced on Sunday that junior linebacker Michael Tauiliili has been suspended indefinitely from the program for violation of team policies. Tauiliili was arrested Saturday on charges including driving while impaired, failing to stop after an accident, assault by pointing a gun (an air pistol), carrying a concealed weapon (a knife) and simple assault.

Duke football starts preseason drill this morning
[Aug. 6, 2007] Members of the Duke football program are anxious to hit the practice field. The Blue Devils – guided by head coach Ted Roof – return 43 lettermen and 18 starters from a season ago. Fall practice begins today with the season-opener scheduled for Saturday, September 1 against Connecticut at 2 p.m. in Wallace Wade Stadium.

Duke football to be featured on FSN South & SportSouth
[Aug. 6, 2007] Beginning Monday, August 6, the Duke Football program will be featured by Fox Sports Net South and SportSouth as the stations spotlight eight of the 12 ACC schools with a series of 30-minute college football preview shows.

2007 preseason All-ACC football team announced
[Jul. 26, 2007] Boston College senior quarterback Matt Ryan has been selected as the Pre-Season ACC Football Player of the Year in voting by media attending the annual ACC Football Kickoff at Pinehurst earlier this week. Two area ACC schools had players on the team.

NCSU's Anthony Hill to miss 2007 football season
[Jul. 25, 2007] NC State head football coach Tom O’Brien has announced that senior tight end Anthony Hill underwent reconstructive knee surgery on Wednesday and will be forced to miss the 2007 season. During a diagnostic arthroscopic procedure this morning, orthopedic surgeon Mike Fajgenbaum discovered that Hill had a damaged anterior cruciate ligament and went on to perform the reconstruction.

WFU seniors Justice and Thompson meet the media at the 2007 ACC Football Kickoff
[Jul. 23, 2007] The defending ACC champions were on display Sunday on the first day of the ACC Football Kickoff held at the Pinehurst Golf Resort. Seniors Steve Justice and Jeremy Thompson represented the Demon Deacons, as the two talked with a horde of media members from the across the country.

Tar Heels add two assistant football strength & conditioning coaches
[Jun. 18, 2007] Kerry Harbor and Jeremy Cole have been named North Carolina football strength and conditioning assistant coaches and will work under the direction of Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning Jeff Connors.

Atlantic Coast Conference releases 2007 pre-Season football television schedule
[Jun. 5, 2007] Twenty televised games over the first three weeks of the season, including 10 national exposures, headline the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference pre-season television schedule released today by ACC Commissioner John Swofford.

WFU's Swanson signs free agent contract with Lions
[May 3, 2007] Wake Forest cornerback Riley Swanson has signed a free agent NFL contract with the Detroit Lions. Swanson is the seventh Deacon to come to terms with a free agent deal this week.
