Duke Blue Devils spring football game set for Saturday

Durham, NC – Duke’s annual Spring Football Game will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Wallace Wade Stadium. Admission to the event is free of charge.

The popular Blue Devil Team Walk will begin at the Duke Chapel at 1 p.m. In addition, the Coca-Cola Kids Zone will be open on the stadium concourse beginning at 2 p.m., while concessions stands featuring three Nathan’s hot dog sliders, chips and a drink for $5 will be open. In addition, Duke Stores will have a tent set up on the concourse selling officially-licensed Blue Devil merchandise.

Duke head coach David Cutcliffe will address the crowd at halftime of the game, which will feature four 12-minute quarters.

The Duke Athletic Ticket Office will have a station on the concourse for season ticket orders. The 2011 home slate includes seven home games against Richmond, Stanford, Tulane, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Florida State and Georgia Tech in Wallace Wade Stadium. Season tickets are available online at GoDuke.com or by calling the Duke Athletic Ticket Office at 919-681-BLUE.

Please make note of the following parking arrangements for Saturday, March 26 for the men’s lacrosse game vs. Georgetown at 1 PM in Koskinen Stadium and the Duke Football Spring Game at 3 PM in Wallace Wade Stadium.

All lots around Wallace Wade and Koskinen Stadiums will be first come, first serve and there will be no charge for parking. Please see the attached parking map for football and lacrosse lot locations. Football fans will also be able to park in the Lacrosse Lots if space permits. Handicap parking and Handicap golf cart shuttles for both football and lacrosse will be available in the Whitford Drive Lot. Parking attendants and traffic officers will be on-site to help manage parking and direct guests to the appropriate lots.

Men’s Lacrosse fans will find available parking in the Bassett Drive/Grounds Lot, 751 Lot, and Science Drive Visitor’s Lot. Handicap parking and shuttles will be available in the Whitford Drive Lot.

Football fans will find available parking in the Blue Zone parking area, PG IV and Chemistry and Circuit Lots. Fans wishing to access the Blue Zone parking area should enter the lots from Duke University Road and the large iron gate. Handicap parking and shuttles will be available in the Whitford Drive Lot. Fans will also be able to park in the lacrosse lots if space permits.
