Durham, N.C. -- Five home games and non-conference tilts against Connecticut, Navy and The Citadel highlight the 2004 Duke football schedule released on Monday afternoon.

The Blue Devils will open the campaign on Saturday, September 4 in Annapolis, Md., against Navy. Following the game with the Midshipmen, Duke travels to Storrs, Conn., to meet Connecticut before opening ACC play in Blacksburg, Va., against league newcomer Virginia Tech.

Duke will then play back-to-back home contests versus Maryland (Sept. 25) and The Citadel (Oct. 2). After an open date on October 9, the Blue Devils return to action for a road game against Georgia Tech on October 16. Duke then hosts Virginia one week later prior to consecutive trips to face Wake Forest (Oct. 30) and Florida State (Nov. 6). The regular season will then end with home contests versus Clemson (Nov. 13) and North Carolina (Nov. 20).

The Blue Devils are coming off last year's 4-8 campaign that ended with a 30-22 win over North Carolina.
