DURHAM, N.C. -- Three former Blue Devil football players -- Ryan Fowler, Drew Strojny and Matt Zielinski -- will represent Duke in postseason all-star games this month.

Fowler and Strojny will play in the East-West Shrine Game this Saturday in San Francisco, while Zielinski is set to participate in the Las Vegas All-American Classic on Saturday, January 17.

Fowler, a linebacker from Redington Shores, Fla., completed his Duke career with 495 tackles, a total good enough for third on the school's all-time chart. He played in 46 games with 41 starts and racked up 47.5 tackles for loss and 27 double-figure tackle games en route to earning the program's Outstanding Linebacker Award four times. A Second Team All-ACC choice in 2003, Fowler twice served as team captain and recorded three 100-tackle seasons.

Strojny, an offensive lineman from Wrentham, Mass., joined Fowler as team captain in both 2002 and 2003. He played in 46 career games with 43 consecutive starting assignments while twice earning Duke's Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award.

Zielinski, a defensive tackle from East Amherst, N.Y., was a First Team All-ACC selection in 2003 after finishing his career with 189 tackles, 41.5 tackles for loss and 12 quarterback sacks. His 41.5 tackles for loss rank third on Duke's career chart while the 12 sacks stand in a tie for seventh, and he was named Duke's Outstanding Defensive Lineman three times.
