2005 preseason ACC media poll released

Members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association cast their preseason ballots on Monday afternoon at the 2005 ACC Football Kickoff at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.

The highest projected finish for an area ACC school was NC State. The Wolfpack was picked to finish third in the Atlantic Division of the ACC. Duke and Wake Forest were picked last in the Atlantic and Coastal divisions respectively.

The results were as follows:


1. FSU (65) 522

2. Boston College (24) 458

3. N.C. State (2) 346

4. Clemson (1) 255

5. Maryland 222

6. Wake Forest 119


1. Va. Tech (62) 517

2. Miami (29) 487

3. Virginia (1) 356

4. Georgia Tech 281

5. UNC 197

6. Duke 99
