NC State extends Lee Fowler's contract

NC State University announces contract extensions for two members of the athletic department staff.

Raleigh, NC - Director of Athletics Lee Fowler, who came to NC State in September of 2000, has signed an extension through 2013. Under Fowler's direction, a $120 million building campaign has provided all 23 varsity sports with top-quality training and competition venues that are either completed or in progress. Improvements have also included facility construction and upgrades for academic support, strength training, sports medicine, video, marketing, and media relations.

Rollie Geiger, who is finishing his 25th as head cross country and track and field coach at NC State and was recently named Assistant Athletics Director for Track and Cross Country, has signed a contract extension through 2010. Geiger has won 37 ACC titles in cross country and track and field and has been named the league's Coach of the Year 30 times.
