Duke swimming & diving ends regular season at Clemson on Saturday
[Feb. 2, 2007] The Duke swimming and diving teams will close out regular season action on Saturday at McHugh Natatorium, as the Blue Devils travel to Clemson, S.C. take on the Tigers at 1 p.m. Duke is coming off a sweep of East Carolina, as the Blue Devil women’s squad improved to 5-3 (1-3 ACC) with a 161-137 win over the Lady Pirates, and the Duke men fell even at 4-4 (1-3 ACC) with a tight 155-145 victory over ECU.

The 2005 NCAA Field Hockey Champion Maryland Terps claimed this season’s No. 1 preseason spot, with fellow Atlantic Coast Conference foe Wake Forest grabbing the No. 2 spot. Duke received two first-place votes, eventually landing a No. 3 ranking.

[Aug. 24, 2006] Under the leadership of head coach Beth Bozman, the 2006 Field Hockey team is poised for another record-breaking season. In 2005, the Blue Devils became one of only six teams to make three consecutive appearances in the NCAA Final Four (2003, ‘04, ‘05). After falling in the national championship game to Wake Forest in 2004 and to Maryland in 2005, the team has found a new determination.

[Jun. 28, 2006] The Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John D. Swofford announced the future dates and sites for the ACC Men's and Women's Basketball and Baseball Tournaments. The Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. will host the 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 ACC Men's Basketball Tournaments, while the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. was selected as the site for the 2012 Tournament.

[Apr. 27, 2006] The Duke track and field team heads north for the 112th annual Penn Relays, held at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field Thursday through Saturday. Last year’s women’s team claimed Duke’s first-ever title at the event when the distance medley relay squad won in a school-record time.
