Garner's Scotty McCreery to throw out first pitch at NC State-Florida State game.

Raleigh, NC - American Idol finalist Scotty McCreery of Garner will be at Doak Field at Dail Park on Saturday to throw out the first pitch before NC State's baseball game against Florida State.

McCreery, a 17-year-old junior at Garner High School, advanced to the final round of three on American Idol on Thursday, May 12.

Game time Saturday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. McCreery's ceremonial first pitch should be sometime between 6:20 and 6:30.

All fans are urged to arrive early, before 5 p.m., to ensure easy access to parking and access in and around the stadium.

Because of construction of the West Lot parking deck, baseball parking has been limited this season at Doak Field at Dail Park. There is limited parking in the east end of the West Lot along Sullivan Drive. Additional parking is available for all weekend games in the parking lots adjacent to the administration services buildings along Sullivan Drive. All of these lots are on the opposite side of Sullivan Drive from Doak Field at Dail Park.
