Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Parks and Recreation department is sponsoring several special events this fall.
Music in the Park: September 18, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 at SW Park in Bear Creek. The event features music, food, games, bounce house and more.
The grand opening of Northwest Park in Silk Hope will take place on September 24, 2010 from 4 pm - 8 pm. There will be food, games, paddle boats, fishing, various inflatables and an outdoor moving starting between 8-8:30 depending on sunset. The movie will be "Where the Wild things Are". Free hot dogs will be served from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Come out to the Southwest Park in Bear Creak on October 29, 2010 from 5 pm - 8 pm for the first annual Trunk or Treat. There will be food, games, inflatables, candy and more. Please feel free to dress up in your spookiest costume. We will also be showing an outdoor movie starting at 8:00 pm. The movie is "The Haunted Mansion". The Parks and Recreation department is in need of volunteers to pass out goodies to the Trunk or Treaters. For more information please call 919-545-8553.
