Raleigh, N.C. - All three of NC State's men's basketball signees for next season, Tyler Lewis, Rodney Purvis and T.J. Warren, were named to the prestigious McDonald's All-American team on Thursday. This marks only the third time in school history that more than one incoming Wolfpack player was named to the squad and the first time the Pack has ever boasted three. NC State was the only school with three selections this year.

In addition to the incoming trio, 11 other State players have been named McDonald's All-Americans. In 1979, high school teammates Sidney Lowe and Dereck Whittenburg were both honored as seniors at DeMatha High School before coming to NC State, where they would end up leading the Pack to the 1983 national title. In 1987, Chris Corchiani and Rodney Monroe, who went on to become the Pack's legendary "Fire and Ice" combo, were selected.

The trio signed with NC State and head coach Mark Gottfried on Nov. 9 and have been rated the No. 2 signing class in the nation by ESPNU 100 Rankings.

This season, Lewis (Statesville, N.C.) is finishing his prep career at Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), while Purvis (Raleigh, N.C.) and Warren (Durham, N.C.) are completing their high school careers at Upper Room Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.) and Brewster Academy (Brewster, N.H.), respectively.
