Reynolds, Collins and Scheyer honored.

Greensboro, NC - Virginia's J.R. Reynolds was named the ACC Player of the Week, while Miami's Dwayne Collins and Duke's Jon Scheyer share ACC Rookie of the Week honors.

Reynolds averaged 28.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists as the Cavaliers posted home court victories over No. 22 Maryland and Wake Forest. The Roanoke, Va., native scored a career-high 40 points and handed out four assists in Sunday's 88-76 win over the Demon Deacons. The 40 points are the most scored in the ACC this season. Reynolds scored 20 points in each half, hitting on 12-of-18 from the field, including 6-8 from three-point range, and making all 10 of his free throw attempts. In Tuesday's 103-91 win over Maryland, the senior guard had 17 points and four assists.

In a week in which Miami lost its fourth front court player with a season-ending injury, freshman center Dwayne Collins stepped up to average 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in road games at Boston College and Florida State. The Miami, Fla., product had a career-best 24 points and 13 rebounds against the Eagles on Tuesday, marking the highest scoring output by a Hurricane freshman since Darius Rice had 28 points against Villanova Feb. 17, 2001.

Scheyer averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists as the Blue Devils posted back-to-back ACC wins over Wake Forest and NC State. The Northbrook, Ill., native hit on six-of-11 from the floor and pulled down five rebounds in Saturday's 79-56 victory at NC State. Scheyer has scored 10 or more points in four of his last five games and is third on the team in scoring averaging 12.1 points per game. In ACC games only, the freshman guard is averaging a team-best 16.4 points per game.
