Dallas, TX - Cameron Bennerman hit two huge shots down the stretch, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 32 seconds left, to lead the No. 10 seed NC State past No. 7 seed California, 58-52.
The contest was part of the Atlanta Bracket.
Bennerman had 18 points, two assists and two steals; Cedric Simmons had 12 points and six rebounds; and Gavin Grant, Tony Bethel and Illian Evtimov all scored six points for the 10th-seeded Wolfpack (22-9).
Leon Powe had 14 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals; Rod Benson had 13 points and two rebounds; and Omar Wilkes had 10 points and five rebounds for the 7th-seeded Golden Bears, who finished at 20-11.
NC State faces the winner of the Texas-Penn game Sunday at 2:15 p.m. ET.
