[May 24, 2009] Wilson Boyd's two-out single off the wall in left drove home the winning run, lifting Clemson past North Carolina 4-3 in 11 innings Saturday in front of a historic crowd at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Elon holds on for 8-7 win over Duke
[Apr. 22, 2009] Bennett Davis homered twice and drove in three runs to lead Elon to an 8-7 win over Duke Wednesday evening at Latham Park. Davis blasted a two-run shot in the second inning that tied the game and then connected on the second of back-to-back homers in the bottom of the seventh. His solo shot in the seventh turned out to be the game-winner, as Elon closer Thomas Girdwood stifled a late Duke rally by stranding three base runners to earn his 10th save of the season.

Northwood baseball defeats NCSSM, 13-3
[Mar. 26, 2009] The Northwood varsity baseball team defeated the North Carolina School of Science and Math 13-3 in six innings Tuesday night at Northwood. After trailing 3-0 after one inning, the Charger bats slowly awakened throughout the rest of the game, led by Zach Groves who went 2 for 2 at the plate with a two run home run in the second inning to go along with his first inning single, three runs, and two stolen bases.

Northwood JV baseball team defeats Cardinal Gibbons
[Mar. 21, 2009] The Northwood JV baseball team defeated Cardinal Gibbons on Thursday 6-5 when Trevor Ahkuoi scored on a wild pitch after walking, and stealing second base in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Northwood varsity baseball defeats Cedar Ridge, 5-2
[Mar. 21, 2009] The Northwood High School Varsity Baseball team defeated Cedar Ridge Wednesday night 5-2 to improve to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the Mid State 2A Conference.

Northwood defeats Jordan-Matthews in baseball, 12-1
[Mar. 12, 2009] The Northwood varsity baseball team defeated Jordan-Matthews 12-1 Wednesday evening in five innings. Austin Brice picked up the win going three shutout innings while striking out seven.

Seven ACC schools make the 2007 NCAA Baseball Tournament
[May 30, 2007] The Atlantic Coast Conference tied the league record for the second year in a row and third all-time, as seven teams will be heading to the 2007 NCAA Baseball Tournament announced Monday afternoon. ACC champion North Carolina and Florida State were one of eight schools from the 64-team field to earn a national seed with the Tar Heels tabbed No. 3 and the Seminoles at No. 6.

Duke baseball hosts Virginia Tech for final home ACC series of the season
[May 10, 2007] The Duke baseball team will host Virginia Tech this weekend for their final home ACC series of the season at Jack Coombs Field. Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m., Saturday’s game will begin at 2 p.m. and Sunday’s series finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. The Blue Devils enter the weekend with a 27-20 overall record and a 6-18 mark in the ACC while the Hokies are 21-26 and 5-19, respectively.

Freiman’s two homers lead Duke to 12-0 victory over Campbell
[Apr. 25, 2007] First baseman Nate Freiman hit a pair of home runs, including a three-run shot in the first, and four Duke pitchers combined on an eight-hit shutout as the Blue Devils defeated Campbell, 12-0, on Tuesday night at Jack Coombs Field. With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 26-17 on the season while the Fighting Camels fall to 9-34.

Duke & No. 2 UNC split Saturday's doubleheader
