In defense of Wal-Mart

I worked for Wal-Mart and they pick where there "New" Super Center is going by the Zip Codes given at Wal-Marts. So if there is to be a Wal-Mart near or on 15-501 it must be because many folks in that area shopped at a Wal-Mart.

I went to Wal-Mart to work as I loved crafts and sewing. So I applied for the crafts and fabric area. I worked part time and loved the people. I received raises and we were given a store wide raise to go along with the Cary wages in the area.

I had heard that the health benefits were in place but were not that great. However they were more than other places provided. Wal-Mart employees also receive a discount and if one were to keep track of how much you got in discounts it's a bunch. They also have stock options, which I took advantage of.

I have worked many other jobs and I can honestly say that I'd go back to Wal-Mart if I could physically.

Wal-Mart Super Center came to Fuquay-Varina almost 2 years ago. We have seen nothing but growth for the town. In fact one could go poor in supporting the new stores!
