Thanks to Chatham County Sheriff's Department

Pittsboro, NC - I am a life time resident of Chatham County - I enjoy reading the banter on the Chatlist. I am just writing to say that I know that sometimes folks are quick to criticize the Chatham County Sheriff's Department, but I wanted to say "thank you "to Sheriff Webster and his Department.

This morning, we awoke to icy bridges and overpasses. I work in Chapel Hill and have to cross several bridges on my way to work - at every bridge that I crossed there was a Sheriff's Deputy's Car with their lights on notify us of the danger. As I crossed the Haw River Bridge, I realized that the person that was there was Sheriff Webster.

What a nice gesture on the part of Sheriff Webster to be out on a busy morning, helping his men and women keep our citizens aware of the icy bridges. As an employee, I know that it means a great deal to have your boss be willing to help you when times are busy, instead of hearing about road conditions from the radio, Sheriff Webster was out with his Department working first hand to keep motorist safe.

Thank you, Sheriff Webster for being an example of a caring leader.
