Siler City coming back

Siler City, NC - I read Efrain's posting regarding the Town Center of Pittsboro and being from England, I like the new name of Town Center!

However, I was disappointed to read that Siler City is "desolate" and a "wasteland of empty store fronts". Do come visit us again. Actually, most stores are now being occupied or in the process of being renovated. The Arts Incubator actually has NO Spaces available as they are all rented.

Their next big project is the renovation of the Methodist Church into a Culinary Arts School with an outdoor garden. It will be a wonderful place to eat, meet people and have events.

Next month, there is a lady moving down here from Rhode Island who is opening a coffee shop - Majik Coffee Company. They'll have high quality, micro-roasted and custom blended coffee from around the world fresh every day. It's exciting to see this kind of speciality big-city coffee house coming to Siler City! I'm sure there will be postings on the chatlist for the grand opening.

I totally agree that both Pittsboro and Siler City can be thriving centers for shopping, eating, meeting. Walking around the Town Center is something I grew up with in England and I'm delighted to see people so enthused about it in Chatham County.
