Record shows that Sally Kost believed one commissioner meeting per month would be better than two

Pittsboro, NC - From John Graybeal's Chatham Chatlist #5015 post: "One wonders whether these activities explain why these commissioners decided one meeting each month would be better than two."

I've copied the minutes from the Chatham County board of commissioners' budget retreat on January 19 below. It's pretty clear who wanted the change.

"Commissioner Kost asked what the County would lose and/or what the county would save if the BOC met only once a month. Commissioner Kost believes it will save in minutes and staff time. Ms. Paschal stated money would also be saved on food and employee compensation time. After some discussion, the Board agreed to reduce BOC meetings to only once a month, effective immediately. **Commissioner Cross moved, seconded by Commissioner Kost, to reduce BOC meetings to one meeting every third Monday of the month, effective immediately. The motion carried five (5) to zero (0)."
