Northwood prom is a night to remember

As Prom Chairs for the Northwood Prom, we would like to publicly thank Mr. R.B. Fitch and the staff at Fearrington for allowing us the opportunity to host the 2005 Prom. Our Prom theme, "Tonight's Dreams...Tomorrow's Memories", was definitely appropriate.

We would also like to express our gratitude to each student who attended the Prom. We don't think we have ever been quite so proud of any group of young people. Not only were they a handsome group, their behavior was exemplary and we did not experience any problems at all. It was a pleasure to be in attendance.

Since there seems to be an interest in the night's events, we will give you a little re-cap of the evening. Dinner was served in a relaxed atmosphere from 6:30-8:00pm and throughout the evening. Dancing was from 8:00-midnight. At 9:30pm, we had the Senior Walk and each Senior in attendance was announced as they entered "The Barn." Crowning of the Prom King, Jabre Green, and Queen, Kat Terll, was a highlight of the evening.

Throughout the evening, students waited in line to be the next to take the carriage ride around the grounds at Fearrington. Shannon Clark, with Triangle Arabian Center, provided rides for the students. Shannon brought his gas-light carriage and his beautiful Belgian horse and assisted the students as they each stepped into the carriage for their memorable ride. Our sincere thanks to Shannon Clark and Christy Cullipher for all they did to make this such a special night.

The evening will live on for each student. Every student received a special "prom t-shirt" and they will each receive a souvenir DVD of the prom, something they can enjoy for many years to come.

Prom 2005 is now a memory - we have already started thinking of how we can make Prom 2006 even more special!
