No room at Northwood

Chatham county, NC - Current situation given, all kids need to attend their assigned schools. And for these inflated prices, what do you get? Overcrowded schools, no parks, limited recreation, no garbage pick up, no water or sewer service, commutes behind construction equipment and lovely strip malls like Chatham Downs and Chatham Crossing.

For the future? If you live in Siler City, you go to school in Siler City. I think that’s pretty simple. Or you run the risk of having your child jerked around. For the county? Bring on the LTT or higher taxes, it’s one or the other. Redistrict these schools today.

Stop all transfers and send those who are transferring back to their rightful schools. If its that bad for this boy to attend Jordan-Matthews, give his grandparents temporary custody and use their address to send him to overcrowded Northwood. It’s perfectly legal and is done all the time. However, if you register him now, he certainly won’t get the classes he wants because there is no room, but at least he’ll be with his friends.

“Beat the system before it beats you” is my motto.
