Hunting season and civility

Pittsboro, NC - Once again hunting season is here and I find myself in the middle of a war-zone: every day and night, even on Sundays, there is shooting going on close to my home. Just outside my property line there are three deer posts and if somebody happens to shoot toward the house we, my family and animals can get killed.

Last night we woke up with lights shining on our faces through the bedroom windows. I am asking, PLEASE, to anybody who is going to hunt and that allow people to hunt around Gum Spring Rd., Alton Alston Rd and that area off 87 N. to stay far away from my property and home.

This situation is frightening and not acceptable. I hope that you will understand and respect our privacy and peace.
