Yes for voting by district

Pittsboro, NC - I am happy and proud to see and hear the support for district voting. I see signs, petitions and other indications of support for the way I'd like to see us elect county officials.

Margie Ellison points out that district voting will divide the African American community from...well...I guess everyone else. How absurd. The truth is that division between the peoples has been going by the wayside until some liberal or newscast reminds everyone that we hate each other.

Perhaps Margie would like to site some examples of her perceived injustice to mistreated individuals. I trust the voters in the county to not pass up a good leader because they are black. Or hispanic, oriental, etc.

Maybe we could have district voting and it be okay as long as whites can't run for office. White men that is...white heterosexual Christian men.... with a hefty salary....and multiple homes.

Maybe we should choose our leaders by their economic and racial disadvantages instead of their ideas and qualifications, can we just come out and say it , Margie?

What a shame to have played the race card for this issue. I goes to show that some would rather play around with policy than let the people make their choice.

Are there any other "reasons" why we shouldn't have voting by district?
