Campaign signs removed

Pittsboro, NC - Someone has removed the signs at the top of our drive supporting Sally Kost and Jeffrey Starkweather. And, as I headed into Chapel Hill on Friday, I noticed that all of the Starkweather and Kost signs had been removed from my home on Chicken Bridge Road, crossing the river to Crawford Dairy Road, to Frosty's, and down Jones Ferry Road, all the way to the county line, where two signs did remain.

Barnes and Cross signs, on the other hand, remained intact all along this route.

I feel you will agree with me that this is really poor form, and I call on Commissioners Cross and Barnes to denounce the practice. It is my understanding that Starkweather and Kost signs are disappearing all across the county, and while I do not hold Barnes and Cross personally responsible, I feel they should make it clear to their supporters that this is unacceptable action in a democratic election.
