Bennett, NC - Michael Wilson of 20448 NC Hwy 902, Bennett reported a break in to an outbuilding on November 27th. He stated that a Poulan chain saw, a Stihl chain saw and weed eater and a Skil saw, valued at $800, were stolen. On December 2nd, Chatham County Sheriff’s detective David McKee received information from Detective Mackey with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office that some stolen property was recovered at a residence in their county and they believed it to be from Chatham.

Andrea Callahan

Detective McKee met with investigators in Moore County at 1231 Caviness Town Road and located a Poulan chain saw. Based on distinguishing features provided by Wilson, it was determined that it came from his break in. Andrea Callahan, resident of 1231 Caviness Road, was interviewed and she admitted to being with her boyfriend, Robert Lefler when the property was stolen from Wilson on November 26.

She further advised investigators where the weed eater was located and both of these items were seized and returned to Wilson. Warrants were obtained on Robert Doyle Lefler and Andrea Gayle Callahan. Lefler was arrested on December 2nd. Callahan was arrested without incident on Tuesday afternoon.

She was released under a written promise and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on January 17.
