Chatham deputies discover two meth labs in Gulf

Gulf, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Saturday reported finding two methamphetamine labs after serving search warrants at a home at 20 Alton King Rd. in Gulf, N.C.

Deputies said they uncovered one of the labs in a shed behind a house. Another meth lab was found inside the trunk of a car.

Five people were arrested and face a total of 30 felony drug charges. They were identified as Jason Sloan, Jody Sloan and Marian Sloan, all of Gulf, Ronald Kimrey of Haw River and Jordan Newell of Goldston.

All were being held in lieu of bond.

All five suspects will appear in court June 8.
