Pittsboro, NC - Chatham County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a Pittsboro man for possessing a stolen tractor. On September 1, deputies recovered a stolen John Deere Tractor from a resident in the Bear Creek area. The tractor was reported stolen by Tommy King of McLaurin Road, Bear Creek on October 4, 2002 and is valued at $18,000.00.

Mr. King positively identified the tractor last week and is making preparations to have it moved to his residence. Detective David McKee obtained a warrant for Jeremy Cull, 31, of 8368 US 15-501 North, Pittsboro after his investigation was conducted surrounding the theft. Cull was arrested on Tuesday after questioning witnesses and obtaining a bill of sale showing Cull sold the tractor to the subject in Bear Creek.
Cull was charged with Felonious Possession of Stolen Property and was given a written promise to appear in court. His court date is in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on September 7. Cull is being held in the Chatham County Jail for numerous pending charges.
