Second man arrested for possessing stolen property

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Graham man for possession of a stolen trailer on Thursday. He is the second suspect to be arrested for the crime.

On September 19, officers of the Pittsboro Police Department recovered a stolen flat bed single axle trailer valued at $1,250.00 at the residence of Dakarai Ramseur of 239 North Masonic Street in Pittsboro. Charlie Burnette, of US 87 North, Pittsboro reported the trailer stolen to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office on September 12. Officers contacted Sheriff’s Office detectives and together worked the case and detectives were able to obtain a warrant on Ramseur shortly thereafter.

Michael Ray Allen

He was arrested on Wednesday without incident for Felonious Possession of Stolen Property. Then on Thursday, Detective Latisha Allen obtained a warrant on Michael Ray Allen, 40, of 7065 Old Plantation Drive, Graham and arrested him later that day.

He was jailed under a $2,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on October 12.
