Siler City siblings arrested for drug trafficking

Ramseur, NC -- Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Vice Unit arrested a brother and sister and charged them with drug trafficking.


Rocio and Francisco Zagada, both from Siler City, were stopped in their car by authorities in Ramseur. Detectives searched their car and recovered 518 grams of cocaine and $284 in cash.

The siblings were arrested at the scene. Additional charges were drawn up for a third suspect, Antonio Pestana. Pestana is Rocio Zagada's husband. He has not yet been arrested.

Rocio Zagada is charged with seven counts of trafficking cocaine and conspiring to traffic cocaine. She is being held on $2.25 million bond. Francisco Zagada is charged with four counts of trafficking cocaine. He is held on $950,000 bond.

The suspects were arrested following a three week investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff's office, Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Asheboro Police Department, and Ramseur Police Department.
