Shooting suspect turns himself in

Pittsboro, NC - Benjamin Uhlenberg, 25, of 804 Shady Lawn Road, Chapel Hill, turned himself in to authorities Wednesday for a shooting that occurred more than three months ago.

On December 23, Chatham County officers responded to a shooting in the northern part of the county. The victim, who was wounded in the leg, stated the shooter was Uhlenberg.

After he turned himself in, Uhlenberg was transported to Chatham County where he remains jailed under a $100,000 bond.
