Sheriff's deputies make more drug arrests

Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s ICE Team and Narcotics Unit made three drug arrests Tuesday after conducting a traffic stop near Moncure.

Esau Hernandez Garcia

Hector Hugo Calderas, 30 of 702 Sikes St., Chapel Hill, Katrina Jeanette Lassiter 29, of 393 Haywood Road, Moncure and Esau Hernandez Garcia 26, of 306 G-4 Estes Dr. Ext Carrboro were arrested after deputies stopped a vehicle on First Road in Haywood. A search of the vehicle was conducted and 144 grams of Cocaine was seized. All three suspects were arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Felonious Trafficking in Cocaine, Felonious Maintaining Motor Vehicle for Use, Storage, or Sale of Cocaine and Felonious Manufacture of Cocaine. The street value of the drugs is over $5,000.

Katrina Jeanette Lassiter

Calderas and Garcia were jailed under a $13,000.00 secured bond and are scheduled to appear in Pittsboro District court on June 8. Lassiter was jailed under a $16,500.00 secured bond and is also scheduled to appear in Pittsboro district court on June 8.
